Dr. Amanda Morales Clarke earned her Psy.D. in clinical psychology from the Graduate School of Applied and Professional Psychology at Rutgers University.
Dr. Morales works to create a safe and nurturing environment where clients can explore their thoughts and feelings. While Dr. Morales works primarily with children, adolescents and their families, she works with individuals of all ages experiencing a variety of concerns, including behavioral problems, anxiety and mood disorders. She also has a special interest in working with youth who have experienced trauma and has been trained in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-BCT), as well as Game-Based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (GB-CBT). Further, she provides support to those managing chronic illnesses, recognizing the unique struggles they may face.
Dr. Morales predominantly utilizes cognitive behavioral therapy techniques to address the needs of her clients and their families. However, she recognizes the individualism and uniqueness that each child, adolescent and family brings, and often integrates techniques such as art, play and a client’s own interests into treatment.
Outside of the office, Dr. Morales enjoys spending time with her family, whether at the beach, hiking or simply going for a walk. When she has the time, she loves reading, baking and learning new skills.
