Dr. Philip Witt specializes in forensic psychology — that is, psychology as applied to legal cases. For many years, he was a managing partner at Associates in Psychological Services, P.A., and he currently conducts his forensic psychology practice through Somerset Psychological Group, P.A. He is board certified in forensic psychology by the American Board of Forensic Psychology, where he previously served on the examination panel. He performs forensic evaluations, testimony, and consultation in a wide range of civil and criminal areas, particularly sex offender assessment. He serves on the clinical faculty of Rutgers Medical School. A past president of the New Jersey Psychological Association, he was the 2001 recipient of that organization’s Psychologist of the Year award. He is Past President of the American Academy of Forensic Psychology. When not practicing forensic psychology, he is an avid bicyclist, nature photographer, and birder.
